St. FRANCIS COMMUNITY HOSPITAL- KASARANI ON THE SPOT OVER NEGLIGENCE, FRAUD and GREED.
St. Francis community hospital- Kasarani is a catholic mission hospital in Nairobi.

βNEVER TAKE YOUR PATIENT TO ST FRANCIS COMMUNITY HOSPITAL (KASARANI).
We checked in at St Francis Community Hospital Kasarani on Saturday night after a serious motorbike accident. There was a huge cut on the head and the patient had passed out. We arrived in an ambulance from St John’s Community Hospital (Githurai), another terrible sh*thole too.
At St Francis, the guys refused to perform first aid until we paid. We had the money but they said we must stand in line and pay first. Took us 30 minutes. Paid Ksh 2k admission and Ksh 8,430 for CT Scan. After paying, the guys who looked like doctors, said they had dressed the wound and the patient was wheeled into the CT Scan.
The Scan came out and the patient was to see a Surgeon after she gained some consciousness at 5am. To be admitted into the surgical ward, we paid Ksh 20k. She was wheeled into the surgical theatre. That Sunday, the said surgeon didn’t come. He came on Monday and his verdict after reading the CT Scan report was that the patient can be discharged.
Seeing the condition of the patient, we requested that even as they discharge, they should give us an open referral letter so that we can take the patient to a hospital of our choice in case of any development. Today, the patient complained of being unable to control the mouth. We rushed to @KNH_hospital but the neurosurgeon will only be available on Tuesday.
So, we have gone to Uhai Neema just now, only to realize that St Francis Community Hospital Kasarani covered the wound, a deep cut (without stitching the wound). They just covered and told us she is okay. Now, Uhai Neema has just washed the wound afresh (will share photos), removed sand that was still inside, and stitched afresh as we wait for KNH on Tuesday.
It pains me that the whole hospital that is charging an arm and leg can do this to patients. This is just to create awareness that don’t take your patient there.β
Unfortunately The author has since deleted the tweet but we had a screenshot before the post being pulled down.
After charging upfront fee of Sh20,000 for βsurgeryβ which was never done β was never refunded.
The level of Fraud, Negligence and Greed shown from this story is unethical and the hospital should be held accountable.
The original post from the author and victim on X has since been deleted for obvious reasons of being coerced and heavy compensation to cover up the negligence.
